Security Dispatcher

About the role

Earn $22.00-$23.00/hr as a Communications Associate in the Security department at California's Great America. Operate and monitor a base radio console with nine frequencies, dispatch routine and emergency traffic, and complete detailed incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch all routine and emergency traffic for assigned channels, including police/security, first aid, and fire department calls.
• Monitor weather radar and lightning detector; advise appropriate units of weather conditions as directed by management.
• Complete detailed reports before the end of scheduled shift on incidents occurring on the property.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.
• Create fun and memorable experiences for guests while upholding core values of Integrity, Courtesy, and Inclusiveness.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Good judgment and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Passion and excitement about Great America.
• Availability to work some weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely.

Qualifications
