SECURITY DISPATCHER

About the Role

Responsible for dispatching Security calls, completing dispatch log sheets, and managing the card access system. Assists patients, visitors, and employees by providing accurate directions over the phone. Controls parking and entrances to the hospital using the Matrix card access system.

Requirements

• High School completion or GED
• Must pass Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS) and Computerized Criminal History (CCH) certification requirements within thirty days of employment and maintain certification throughout employment
• No prior job-related work experience required
• Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while remaining calm and pleasant to the public and facility personnel

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement as a dispatcher
• Computer skills
• Ability to acquire International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Basic Training
• Ability to acquire Incident Command System (ICS) – IS 100 I.E.B

Status: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period
