Security Control Assessor (SCA) I

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls.
• Provide assessments of the severity of weaknesses or deficiencies in ISs and their environments.
• Recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of IS security program policy.
• Assess ISs based on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology in accordance with the JSIG.
• Advise ISO, IDO, PSO, and DAO/AO on assessment and authorization issues.
• Evaluate Authorization packages and make recommendations for authorization.
• Ensure security assessments are completed and results are documented.
• Initiate POA&M with identified weaknesses for each Authorization boundary.
• Evaluate security assessment documentation and provide written recommendations for security authorization.
• Assess proposed changes to Authorization boundaries and mission needs.
• Review and concur with all sanitization and clearing procedures.
• Affirm compliance with government inspections.
• Ensure proper and corrective measures are taken for security incidents.
• Evaluate SDLC phases and hardware/software security impacts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and implementation of Continuous Monitoring Plans.
• Represent the customer on inspection teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in SAP, SCI, or Collateral Information Systems (IS) Security.
• Prior performance in the role of ISSO and ISSM.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR Associate’s degree in a related area + 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years).
• IAT Level 3 (CISSP, CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, etc.) or IAM Level 1 - within 6 months of hire.

Pay

$142,792 - $161,920

Schedule

40 weekly hours.
