About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Wilson, NC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; provide assistance within the scope of post orders and notify emergency services and/or site contacts as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.87 / hour

• Days: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
