Security Concierge Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm Silver Spring, Maryland
About the role
As the Security Officer: Concierge, you will manage the front desk of an office building lobby, ensuring the facility operates in accordance with company policy and client expectations while delivering exceptional service to guests, tenants, and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Manage access control for guests, tenants, and vendors.
- Provide elevator and door assistance to all guests.
- Deliver customer service and assistance to clients, customers, and visitors.
- Prepare daily activity reports, access control reports, and incident reports.
- Observe and report all safety concerns.
- Patrol common areas to ensure security and safety.
- Oversee day-to-day activities associated with opening, managing, and closing the facility.
- Ensure facility safety and security by reviewing maintenance checklists and conducting periodic safety audits as directed by the company’s Safety Manual.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns.
- Complete Incident Forms and conduct incident investigations as directed by management.
- Use software applications to record and track work efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-service related role.
- Valid driver’s license without major violations.
- Flexibility to work after hours, weekends, and through lunches (paid) as needed.
- Certified as a Virginia Unarmed Security Officer/Courier (DCJS) or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people and build strong relationships.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reach.
- Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Perform continuous repetitive motions.
- Work under variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold), noise levels, and both indoors and outdoors.
- Exposure to fumes, hazards, dust, mites, chemicals, and bio-hazards.
Pay
Maryland Compensation Range: $18 - $19 USD per hour. This range reflects a reasonable estimate and considers factors such as skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Geographic differentials may apply based on the location where the role is filled. New hires typically do not start at the top of the range. You may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to its rules and dependent on individual and organizational performance.
