As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with military clients to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You’ll review technical and personnel details from your supported organization to assess the entire threat landscape. You’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You’ll work with your client to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in security and compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security audits, enforce security policies, and manage security tools such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and identity management solutions
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and IC security frameworks
  • Use security tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Nessus
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Guide clients through mitigation plans using presentations, white papers, and milestones
  • Translate security concepts to help clients make informed decisions to secure mission-critical systems

Requirements

  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Information Security and 2+ years of experience in security and compliance management, or 5+ years of experience in security and compliance management in lieu of a degree

Skills

  • Experience conducting security audits and enforcing security policies
  • Experience managing security tools such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, and identity management solutions
  • Familiarity with security tools including Splunk, Microsoft Defender, AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and Tenable Nessus
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in DoD and IC organizations
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Schedule

This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work model expectations:

  • Remote: Generally virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as required by the role.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
