Security Cleared Officer - DoD Clearance Required

About the role

Security Officer with active DoD clearance needed for Poway location. Must have active CA guard card. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Active Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• CA guard card (licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment)
• One or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
