Security Checkpoint Supervisor

About the Role

The Security Checkpoint Supervisor is responsible for controlling access to the property while providing excellent customer service to guests, residents, vendors, and employees. The role includes verifying reservations or credentials, directing traffic, issuing passes, answering guest questions, monitoring security, maintaining accurate entry logs, and communicating with security and front desk staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming arrival experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities of checkpoints.
• Oversee standard operating procedures.
• Supervise and schedule checkpoint concierge associates.
• Conduct monthly gate inspections and training.
• Advise on course of action for security and safety concerns.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge in resort policies and procedures.
• Issue disciplinary actions when appropriate.
• Maintain and log records of all documentation.
• Train and develop subordinate Security Department personnel.
• Develop department schedules and ensure operational status.
• Conduct weekly random checks of alarm systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate.
• PA Act 235 certification preferred, not required.
• Supervisory Experience preferred.
• At least 1 year’s experience working on a resort checkpoint concierge.
• Able to work various shifts, including flex shift/float position.
• Must possess excellent leadership skills and be able to make sound decisions.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Must be able to speak and write English.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
• Must participate in a resort-provided hospitality security officer certification program and obtain a passing score within 60 days of hire.
