Job Summary

As a Security Staff, you will be responsible for providing physical security, asset protection, access control, crime prevention, compliance enforcement, incident documentation and investigation, and resident and staff education.

Responsibilities

• Support the facility through physical security, asset protection, access control, crime prevention, compliance enforcement, incident documentation and investigation, and resident and staff education
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
• Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to visitors and vendors
• Maintain directory and files on active and discharged residents
• Direct inquiries regarding resident condition to appropriate personnel
• Aid in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
• Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings
• Attend meetings as required
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• One year of experience as a security guard in a healthcare setting
• The ability to maintain operations, policies, and procedures that minimize the risk of death or bodily injury, damage to or loss of property and facility assets, compromise of confidential information, damage to or loss of facility reputation or certification
• The ability to implement and adhere to policies concerning staff identification, resident visitation, contractor identification and access, searches, resident property storage, preservation of evidence, incident reporting, and emergency planning
