Security Associate
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Core Functions
- Ensure security of the building and outside trailers through constant monitoring of dock doors, incoming/outgoing drivers, and coordination of pickups and deliveries of trucks.
- Cook up the loading of trucks, ensuring correct BOLS are allocated and signed.
- Maintain organization of the security office and promote safety practices and initiatives throughout the warehouse.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School or GED Required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a shipping/logistics role.
Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge
- Demonstrated leadership and accountability.
- Skilled in general PC operation/navigation and application-specific experience including Microsoft Office 365 applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to respond to complaints.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner;
- Gathers and analyzes information skillfully;
- Develops alternative solutions;
- Works well in group problem solving situations;
- Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
