Security Associate - 3rd Shift

Open availability highly preferred. Shift: 12:00 AM-8:00 AM, Thursday–Monday.

Pay

Pay Range: $18-$19 hourly.

About the Role

You will be an integral part of the Safe and Secure Team executing programs and processes at our facility to ensure our associates, customers, and assets are protected. You will manage and properly document the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates, lead with effective communication, conduct routine patrols, become trained and certified on life-saving measures, partner with your team leads, and execute facility Safe and Secure Principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document car movements into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates.
• Ensure proper protocols are followed with egress and digress procedures.
• Provide assistance during emergencies.
• Ensure adherence to Inventory Control procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols of the Inspection Center and Logistics facility yard and buildings, documenting any security or safety concerns.
• Become trained and certified on first aid, CPR, and AED.
• Partner with your Safe and Secure Team Lead and Safe and Secure Manager to address requests for badge creation, CCTV review, and other components.
• Promote an incident-ready focus and ensure appropriate actions are taken when needed.
• De-escalate situations to maintain collaboration and uphold Carvana values.
• Execute facility Safe and Secure Principles at entrances/exits.
• Utilize Safe and Secure Application (SAS App) and RFID technology.
• Deliver a service-first approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of strong decision-making in a complex environment.
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships.
• Organizational and planning skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive handling of conflict situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CCTV, RFID, card access, and other Safe and Secure Technology.
• Previous experience supporting an OSHA program – Safety Team.
• Previous experience supporting crisis prevention and/or response plans.

Other Requirements

• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Designated as a safety-sensitive position.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with occasional lifting up to 20 feet.
• Able to stand for extended periods, stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and pull, in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
• Able to perform tasks requiring excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Able to use safety equipment such as face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments.
• Able to drive and perform computer data entry.
• Able to adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
