Security Associate 32E

Women & Infants Hospital is seeking a Security Associate to greet, welcome, and assist patients, visitors, employees, and guests. This role includes escorting individuals throughout the hospital or campus, providing directions, and assisting with patient discharge notifications via the teletracking system.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with staff, patients, and guests.
• Act as the initial contact for patients, families, employees, and visitors entering the hospital.
• Assist Nursing in patient discharge using the teletracking discharge system.
• Support nursing staff in monitoring siblings who may have wandered from their parents.
• Escort patients, visitors, and guests throughout the hospital or campus, providing directions as needed.
• Perform related receptionist and clerical duties as assigned.
• Organize workload and complete tasks with limited supervision, adhering to departmental policies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence.
• Perform other job-related duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English required; fluency in Spanish desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with computer programs (required if hired after 1/1/2010).
