About the role
Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is the global organization that supports field Security and Loss Prevention and is designed to support Amazon’s Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses.
Responsibilities
- Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents
- Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, associate experience, process improvement, data protection, physical security infrastructure) and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert for site leadership keeping them informed on key issues, strategies, and the department’s performance
- Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostic for problematic devices by engaging and resolving issues with internal and external partners
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
- This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 2+ years of blue badge Amazon experience OR 1+ years in security service OR loss prevention OR asset protection OR investigations OR law enforcement OR operations OR Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity
- Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience
