Security and Emergency Services Officer I

About the role

Join our team as a Security and Emergency Services (SES) Officer, responsible for implementing the SES Program under the Supervisor's direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine interior and exterior patrols of the buildings and grounds
• Conduct safety checks and inspections in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance
• Receive calls for non-emergency service from dispatch and security by radio or telephone and respond timely and appropriately
• Respond and assist in Community Emergencies, including but not limited to; fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, bomb threats, and evacuations
• Create the best initial impression of the community
• Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community
• Document all visitors and vendors/contractors and provides proper parking passes, maps, and instructs visitors to park in appropriate spaces

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in security preferred
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
• Ability to document daily activities in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug screening

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures

Pay
