Security Analyst 2

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career‑ and customer‑oriented Security Analyst 2 to join the team in the Chantilly, VA area.

Responsibilities

• Interface between Government agencies and industrial organizations for obtaining, verifying, and granting access to NRO programs.
• Update, maintain, and audit the security clearance database.
• Conduct personnel clearance verification.
• Keep daily metrics of work completed.
• Use multiple NRO, DOD, and IC databases, including but not limited to SCT, DISS, Scattered Castles, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel security.
• Support all security analysis tasks that contribute to the processing, issuance, or revocation of personnel security clearances, as well as additional tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree and ≥ 1 year of relevant security experience, or High School/GED and ≥ 4 years of relevant security experience.
• Ability to learn various databases to support security analysis tasks.
• Prioritize competing tasks and possess effective time‑management skills.
• Experience in personnel security processing related to background investigations and/or security access determinations in adjudications consistent with Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD 4) and EO 12968 guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional customer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to complete customer requests on deadline with short suspense times and shifting priorities.

Clearance Requirements

Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 % of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicate with co‑workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
