Pay

Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors, contractors, and employees; offer assistance and guidance as necessary
- Screen visitors and contractors for valid site access before contacting Wayfair personnel
- Monitor campus security via alarms, access control, CCTV, and events impacting operations and assets
- Monitor site camera systems for signs of loss or security breaches
- Respond to incidents or crisis events affecting Wayfair’s operations
- Serve as the key point of contact for first responders during emergencies
- Conduct daily safety and security patrols; report findings to direct manager
- Ensure all exit doors are closed unless in use for business purposes
- Interact with employees to maintain a friendly and visible presence on property
- Report damage or unsafe conditions to site management immediately
- Provide accurate patrol logs, including times, areas visited, and irregularities
- Maintain detailed records of communications, incident reports, and daily activity logs
- Perform clerical duties related to driver and trailer management
- Handle site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, lobby/visitor reception, elevator security, loading dock security, and other safety and security roles
- Manage sensitive incidents while maintaining confidentiality for the company and affected individuals
- Know and implement all site-specific policies, procedures, and emergency response activities
- Partner with the Campus Global Security Manager on asset protection initiatives and investigations
- Collaborate with site leadership to resolve security-related issues
- Follow all company procedures, maintain acceptable attendance, and adhere to grooming and customer service standards
Requirements
- Current or prior military experience or experience in the security field is desirable
- Minimum 1–3 years of professional-level work experience preferred
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, and/or customer service is highly desired
- Experience in scheduling, operations, or other security industry functions is a plus
- Experience with card access systems and CCTV systems is a plus
- Valid state driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle or bicycle if required
- Reliable transportation or access to public transportation to ensure consistent on-time attendance
- Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to professionally interact with individuals at all levels and de-escalate situations
- Energetic and focused personality with the ability to take initiative, handle multiple assignments, and manage deadlines
- Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact successfully at all organizational levels and function as a team player
