Security Access Control Technician Journeyman

Currently looking for Security/Access Control Technician (Journeyman) for a large industrial construction project in Ray, North Dakota.
Responsibilities
- Control access to the project through designated entry gates
- Verify identification and site authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
- Maintain visitor logs and assist with issuing temporary access credentials
- Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with project parking procedures
- Direct vehicles and visitors to appropriate parking or access locations
- Observe and report unusual or unauthorized activity on project premises
- Notify project management, supervisors, or local law enforcement when necessary
- Maintain a visible presence at entry points and project access areas
- Document and report incidents involving access control or site security concerns
- Auxiliary with visual inspections of bags, containers, or vehicles leaving the site when required under project security procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in site security, access control, or gate monitoring in industrial environments preferred
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to remain attentive and professional in a high-activity work environment
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Ability to work outdoors in varying North Dakota weather conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to observe site conditions and monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic
Additional Requirements
- Must complete all required project safety training and comply with all project HSE rules and procedures
- Must be able to pass required pre-employment screenings, i.e., drug and alcohol and OSHA 10 or OSA 30
- Must have reliable transportation to project site
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying North Dakota weather conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to observe site conditions and monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic

Security personnel assigned to this role function in an observe, assist, and report capacity. They do not perform law enforcement duties and do not exercise police authority. All access procedures, inspections, and security activities are conducted in accordance with project policies, applicable laws, and respect for individual rights and safety.
