Securities Services Ops Specialist II (Asset Control/Account Opening)
The Securities Services Operations Specialist II at BOK Financial Corporation Group is responsible for transactional processing supporting Wealth Management accounts on the trust and/or bond accounting system. This role involves setting up and maintaining securities, transactional processing, trade execution and settlement, foreign currency exchange, valuations, and reconciliations. The position requires close collaboration with account officers, external depositories, vendors, and brokers to ensure accurate client account reflections.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and process account opening documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures.
- Manage a high-volume workload while effectively balancing competing priorities and meeting daily processing deadlines.
- Assess incoming requests and prioritize work based on changing business needs and account opening requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact between internal partners, advisors, and external stakeholders to support smooth account onboarding and issue resolution.
- Maintain shared team inboxes, ensuring timely responses and follow-up on account-related requests.
- Utilize Adobe Acrobat and other document management tools to review, edit, and maintain account documentation.
- Analyze trust account information and apply detailed instructions to support accurate account setup and maintenance.
- Deliver exceptional service to internal business partners and external clients through proactive communication and attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, maintain compliance standards, and support operational excellence.
Requirements
- This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and 5-7 years of directly related experience in a high volume securities operations environment is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced working knowledge of a broad variety of securities and Wealth Management accounting systems.
- Advanced PC and operating software application skills.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices with emphasis in reconciliation and detail-oriented tasks in a potentially high-volume environment.
- A general understanding of trust and/or bond accounting knowledge is preferable.
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to plan and coordinate movement of potentially large volumes of transactions.
- Must demonstrate previous experience independently solving complex problems, and identifying appropriate resources while meeting extremely stringent deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership ability, social and professional etiquette, including oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to gain consensus among parties with conflicting interests.
- Very strong ability to improve efficiency, track complex activities, and improve methodology.
- Ability to provide training in a constructive and effective manner to various levels of personnel.
Education & Experience
