Securities Operations Manager - WIM Tax

About This Role Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Manager within the Brokerage Tax division as part of Wealth and Investment Management Operations. This team is responsible for supporting critical tax reporting, withholding, filing, tax notice processing, and production activities while maintaining a strong focus on operational risk management, regulatory compliance, and service excellence. The Securities Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight of daily operations, drive process governance, strengthen risk and control frameworks, support major business initiatives, and develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will also identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational scalability while ensuring readiness for audits, tax season deliverables, and strategic business changes. In This Role, You Will Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional areaDevelop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and complianceEngage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations areaWork independently on moderately complex issues and projectsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced managementProvide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced teamMake decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectivesInterpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibilityProvide responsibility for budget and financial performanceCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managersLead team to achieve objectivesManage allocation of people and financial resources for OperationsMentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education2+ years of leadership experience Desired Qualifications: 5+ years managing global operations, preferably in Tax Operations2+ years' experience in risk management, including RCSA, control testing, and issue managementProven ability in partnering with various stakeholders in a complex environment, including internal peers as well as third party vendorsAbility to work with a sense of urgency and navigate cross team to meet the deliverable needsSkilled at managing complex projects and initiativesStrong verbal and written communication skills targeted to the audienceStrong record of delivering results and decision-making in complex problemsTransformational leader leveraging technology for efficiencySuccessful completion of bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or other related field Job Expectations: Ability to work a hybrid in-office scheduleWillingness to work on-site at stated locationThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship Posting Location: Saint Louis, Missouri Posting End Date: 27 Aug 2026 Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.
