Position: Investment Tax Accountant – Provisions
We are seeking a detail-oriented tax professional to support tax provision activities within a large financial services organization. This role will primarily focus on investment-related tax accounting, working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax calculations
- Analyze investment-related tax impacts, including fixed income, equities, and alternative investments
- Aid with financial reporting requirements and documentation tied to tax provision processes
- Collaborate with accounting, finance, and investment teams to gather necessary data inputs
- Support audits and respond to internal/external inquiries related to tax provisions
- Utilize tax and investment systems to extract and analyze financial data

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of tax experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, or asset management
- Experience with tax provisions (ASC 740) strongly preferred
- Exposure to investment or fund accounting is highly desirable
- Proficiency with tax software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
- Experience Level: Expert Level
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Springfield, MA.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115,000.00 - $152,100.00/yr. Company benefits would be provided to a candidate once an offer is extended.
