About the role
The Superintendent is responsible for all the field staff on a project and will ensure projects are built according to plans and specifications, supervising the work of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors. Along with Project Managers, they ensure material, tools/equipment, information, and staff requirements are on the jobsite in the proper place and time. The Superintendent handles all correspondence and forms required by the rand* office—such as daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports. They monitor work performance, direct subcontractors, and schedule all work according to project requirements.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all field staff on a project to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
- Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate material, tools/equipment, information, and staff requirements on the jobsite.
- Handle all office-required correspondence and forms, including daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports.
- Monitor work performance, direct subcontractors, and schedule work according to project timelines.
- Interface with clients and their leadership teams on schedule updates and challenges, communicating plans and alternative solutions.
- Periodically audit jobsites to ensure standards are met.
- Assist teams with complex and specialty quality control issues.
- Support pre-punch walks to check quality and ensure a smooth/timely punch list process.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, facility security officers, and special security officers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience as a lead superintendent on SCIF, commercial interior, retail, or renovation projects.
- Experience in SCIF construction, including knowledge of TEMPEST requirements.
- Expertise in secure facility construction and working knowledge of ICD/ICS 705 guidelines.
- High school diploma and two years of college preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making in confidential or non-routine matters.

- Ability to interface with clients and leadership teams at the highest level.
- Experience assisting teams with complex quality control issues and pre-punch walks.

This position is located in the Charlotte, NC office with potential travel as needed.
