Responsibilities
- Coordinates the operation of Section facilities affecting electric and gas transmission and distribution systems.
- Covers for customer service personnel and switchboard operators during off-duty hours, dispatching crews for minor troubles.
- Operates and monitors supervisory controlled electric substations.
- Maintains gas pressures within predetermined limits using supervisory control equipment.
- Keeps logs of operations and marks up system diagram boards to reflect current field conditions.
- Recognizes and reports unusual conditions to relevant personnel.
Requirements
- A.A.S. degree in Electrical Technology.
- 3 years' experience in electric operating or related functions.
- Must be able to qualify for an Automobile Operator's License, if required.
- Normal health, physique, and sensory abilities as determined by a Company physician.
- Analytical ability and emotional stability.
- Neat and orderly work habits.
- Able to work extra and/or irregular hours and/or shifts.
- Able to receive and transmit orders and instructions respectfully and confidently.
Qualifications
- Meets the general requirements for all employees as outlined in the Preamble to the Job Specification Manual.
Skills
- General knowledge of generating stations, transmission and distribution lines, substations, gas distribution systems, company territory, safety rules, switching and tagging procedures, and standard gas operations.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $48.71
Schedule
Shift work may be required.
