The Role
The post holder is required to provide a full administrative and secretarial service to a multi-disciplinary team including the management of information systems and the coordination of the clinical referral system. In this key role, you will:
- Provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support including the use of audio/copy typing, photocopying, word processing, the use of management information systems and email to facilitate the smooth and effective running of the department.
- Collect and collate all patient/performance monitoring/staff governance activity and produce all statistical information associated with this.
- Maintain the waiting list and referral system for the department.
- Collect, prioritise and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls on behalf of the team and initiate action where required to ensure relevant and timely responses.
What You'll Bring
- RS/SS/NC in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
- Proficient IT skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritize and work on own initiative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
