Secondary Teacher ( Juneau-Douglas High School)

Position Summary

This position is a good opportunity for anyone who enjoys teaching high school level Social Studies or English.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education
• Valid Alaska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement

Other Requirements

• Master's degree in education preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience teaching high school level students is preferred
• An emphasis is placed on the ability to develop excellent working relationships with students and colleagues

Compensation

Salary is dependent on experience and education. The Juneau School District offers a competitive salary, an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) plan.
