The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) is seeking a Contract Secondary Teacher for the upcoming academic year starting September 2, 2026. The position is permanent and based at Clarke High School, located at 3425 Hwy35/115, Newcastle, ON.
About the role
This position involves teaching multiple courses including TAS10, TCJ3E/3C/4E/4C in both semesters. The schedule is semester-based, with classes running from September 2, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach a variety of courses including TAS10, TCJ3E/3C/4E/4C
- Adhere to curriculum guidelines and educational standards
- Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes
Requirements
- In good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or Transitional Certificate
- A police record check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Pardoned Sexual Offenders Database Search dated within 6 months prior to the date of hire

Pay
The salary grid rate for this position is based on QECO rating ('Category') and experience. The annual salary is prorated based on FTE. Salary Grids can be found within the applicable under Local Article L5.01.01. The current grid rate is effective September 1, 2025.
