About the role

Assist workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, installing, and processing materials, parts, and assemblies by performing any combination of the following tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and count parts and materials
  • Examine parts and materials for defects
  • Feed, load, or remove parts from machines
  • Load and unload racks, baskets, skids, dollies, and conveyors
  • Move or carry parts, materials, and equipment
  • File, trim, saw, buff, drill, and/or deburr parts
  • Wrap and unwrap parts, tools, and equipment
  • Mark identifying information on parts and materials
  • Place, position, clamp, or hold parts and materials during assembly, installation, or machining
  • Lubricate and clean parts, assemblies, and equipment

Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • 1 month of related experience (3 months preferred)

Physical Demands

The following factors outline general physical demands for this role. Specific requirements may vary based on individual work responsibilities.

  • Strength Level: Medium work, involving exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.
  • Frequent activities (1/3 to 2/3 of the time):
    • Reach by extending hands and arms
    • Handle objects by seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands
    • Pick, pinch, or work primarily with fingers
    • Near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
    • Judge distances and spatial relationships (see objects three-dimensionally)
  • Occasional activities (up to 1/3 of the time):
    • Stoop by bending body downward and forward
    • Kneel by bending legs at knees
    • Crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine
    • Perceive attributes of objects (size, shape, temperature, or texture) by touch
    • Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus
