Full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position located onsite in Farmington Hills, MI 48335.

Schedule

  • First shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Second shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Shift differentials: +$1.00/hr for second shift, +$1.25/hr for third shift.

Pay

Starting at $18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform moderately complex tasks related to equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure machinery runs efficiently.
  • Assist in operating machinery in the designated department to meet production demands.
  • Inspect materials, final products, and machinery for defects to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure department output meets organizational expectations and production targets.
  • Guide the manufacturing/operations team in interpreting existing processes and policies and assist in developing efficiencies or process improvements.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately, maintaining proper records.
  • Adhere to 5S standards, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment.
  • Powered industrial equipment certification preferred.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Perform work under minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and initiative.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group to promote team development and efficiency.
