- Teaching Certificate (preferred)
- 2+ Years of experience (preferred)
Performance Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to a class, individual students, or groups of students
- Plan lessons, including preparing learning objectives and goals
- Facilitate learning in the classroom
- Evaluate student performance
- Maintain records and document student progress
- Perform all duties pertaining to area of expertise as required
- Maintain contact with parents in regard to student performance
- Maintain professional development through various activities
- Perform various administrative activities
- Prepare lesson materials, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain contact with students, parents, and other school staff
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
Skills
- Knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and principles
- Knowledge of subject matter
- Knowledge of state, local, and federal laws and regulations affecting the lives and education of students
- Strong understanding of social and emotional needs, development and learning
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom culture
- Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Ability to organize and maintain records
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively and efficiently
- Ability to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback
