Secondary Campus Principal

This position is part of the MISTAFF collaborative effort involving the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team in a K-12 alternative certification program. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students through innovative and flexible teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Utilize alternative teaching strategies to engage students in the learning process.
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate or eligibility for alternative certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in a classroom or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
