About the role

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that they express an interest.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with various stakeholders
• Assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition
• Determine the need for individual or team improvement
• Affirm directions from the Head Coach at all times
• Maintain inventory of athletic equipment
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques
• Maintain locker room and playing facilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred
• Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required
• Valid certificate in first aid required

Qualifications

Education and/or experience as outlined above.

Skills

Excellent instructional delivery skills, communication skills, and the ability to work with high school students.
