About the role

The Miller Grove High School is seeking an S/PID Paraprofessional to support teachers in meeting the educational, behavioral, and social emotional needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Provides small group and/or individualized instruction to students as per lesson plans developed by the teacher.
• Affords assistance to teachers with daily classroom management activities aimed at fostering an effective learning environment.
• Aids teachers in assessing student performance through standardized and non-standardized testing, and other recordkeeping tasks.
• Assists in the development and organization of instructional materials for students and ensures their timely availability during instructional segments.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the teacher or administration.

Requirements

• Minimum of sixty (60) semester hours or ninety (90) quarter hours of college courses completed with a GPA of 2.0 or higher from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university.
• - Or - High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Must obtain a valid Professional Standards Commission approved paraprofessional certificate.
