SEC Reporting Senior Analyst

Purpose

Lead preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and US GAAP financial statements
Perform complex technical accounting analyses and support financial statement preparation
Manage consolidations, including VIEs, intercompany eliminations, and cash flow statements
Research and apply US GAAP and SEC disclosure guidance; implement new accounting standards
Analyze and resolve financial variances using detailed accounting assessments
Partner cross-functionally and with parent company teams to meet reporting deadlines
Prepare financial statement analytics and ensure disclosure checklist compliance
Support external audits and regulatory reviews through workpaper preparation and analysis

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, or public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; ability to analyze complex transactions and accounting treatment
  • Experience in public accounting or SEC reporting within the insurance industry preferred
  • Strong analytical and research skills with ability to clearly communicate conclusions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva (Wdesk) preferred
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Essbase, and Hyperion a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or FLMI designation preferred or in progress

Pay

$100,885.60 - $151,328.40 USD Annual
