Role Summary
We are seeking an SEC Reporting Manager to join a high performing accounting and finance team supporting a dynamic, acquisition focused public company. This position will play a key role in SEC reporting, technical accounting, financial reporting, compliance activities, and strategic business initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in public accounting, experience supporting SEC registrants, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with evolving accounting and reporting requirements. This role offers significant exposure to executive leadership, M&A activity, debt transactions, and enterprise wide process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support quarterly and annual SEC filings including Forms 10 Q and 10 K
- Assist with technical accounting research, analysis, and implementation of accounting standards
- Support acquisition accounting, business combinations, and integration activities
- Participate in debt restructuring and complex transaction accounting projects
- Develop, enhance, and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Agregate, analyze, and organize transactional data for reporting and compliance purposes
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements and annual compliance activities
- Manage reporting processes and coordinate deliverables to ensure critical deadlines are met
Key Requirements
- CPA required
- 5+ years of public accounting, SEC reporting, technical accounting, or related experience
- Strong audit and assurance background with public company exposure
- Big 4 experience highly preferred
- Experience with SEC filings including Forms 10 K and 10 Q
- Knowledge of ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 805, and other technical accounting guidance
- Exposure to M&A transactions, business combinations, debt structures, and private equity backed environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Combination of public accounting and industry experience
- Experience supporting publicly traded organizations
- Exposure to acquisition heavy or high growth environments
- Experience developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
- Ability to manage complex processes and competing deadlines with minimal supervision
- Desire to build a long term career outside of public accounting
