SEC Reporting Analyst

About the role

At Regions, the Accounting Analyst prepares accurate and timely financial reporting that may include, but is not limited to, special requests, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and adding value through continued process improvement.

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. The role is intended to be onsite, with regular work hours including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule, including in-office expectations. This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management
• Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion
• Researches and responds to technical accounting inquiries from business partners
• Analyzes and resolves problems using prescribed guidelines or policies
• Completes ad-hoc reporting or other special projects as they arise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
• One (1) year in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master's degree in Finance
• Experience within a financial services industry
• Certified Public Accountant Licensure (CPA)

• Ability to research, analyze data, and drive appropriate solutions
• Ability to work under direct guidance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Pay

The target pay range for this position is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the location and level of the role.

• Minimum: $46,759.35 USD
• Median: $64,270.00 USD

This job is not incentive eligible.
