About the role

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our company's financial reporting processes, with a primary focus on preparing SEC filings. You will ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP while collaborating closely with internal teams, external auditors, and legal counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the 10-K Filing Process: Manage and execute the preparation, review, and filing of the annual 10-K report, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A (Management's Discussion and Analysis).
  • Ensure Compliance: Stay abreast of SEC regulations and accounting standards (GAAP) to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Implement necessary changes to reporting processes as regulations evolve.
  • Coordinate Financial Reporting Activities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, Legal, and External Auditors to gather necessary information, resolve inquiries, and ensure timely completion of filings.
  • Enhance Reporting Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting, leveraging tools such as Workiva to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
  • Audit Support: Act as a liaison with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Facilitate audit requests, address audit findings, and implement recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial reporting risks. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure integrity and reliability of financial information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including hands-on experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) within a public company environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with XBRL tagging and Workiva software is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

  • Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period.
