Seattle Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant

About the role

Protiviti is looking for a Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant to join our growing team. As a Senior Consultant, you will mentor, train, and coach Interns and Consultants while facilitating the successful completion of project work plans. You will identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen relationships, and deepen your abilities to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, train, and coach team members to support project success.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Strengthen client relationships and communicate effectively with executives and teams.
• Under the direction of Managers, establish project scope and work plans, staff projects, prepare deliverables, and apply methodologies.
• Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on technology-related topics including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, project risk advisory, technology risk management, IT general controls (ITGC), AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, technology resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, emerging technologies, 2nd line controls, governance, and technology enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
• 2+ years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA solutions is a plus.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar is preferred.

Skills

• Experience with IT audit methodologies and developing deliverables such as process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
• Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, particularly the technology implications and requirements.
• Interest in the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), disaster recovery, and systems development methodologies.
• Experience with analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML).
• Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
• Experience establishing and cultivating business relationships and professional networks.
• Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
• Supervisory experience including mentoring, oversight and review of work, cross-team coordination, and team motivation.
• Experience documenting findings and summarizing recommendations.

Pay

Starting salary range: $96,000.00 – $143,000.00

Bonus target opportunity: 10%

Estimated total cash range: $105,600.00 – $157,300.00

Schedule

Protiviti practices a hybrid model combining in-person and remote work. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and business factors. Team members work both in Protiviti offices and on client sites, which may include local or out-of-state travel based on project and client needs.
