Seattle Part-Time Seasonal Sales Associate

Parachute’s mission is to help you feel at home. As a member of the retail team you will help build a Parachute community in your local area, provide subject‑matter expertise on all things cozy, and collaborate with teammates to deliver the highest‑standard brand experience.

Responsibilities

• Sales + Service: Follow the Store Manager’s direction to uphold daily operations and achieve quarterly store KPIs; develop deep product knowledge; ensure the best possible customer experience; communicate product information using HOME selling skills; participate in trade and community events; resolve customer concerns; build loyalty through CRM data capture, endless aisle, and omni‑channel solutions; utilize design service tools.
• Operations: Accurately record timekeeping and follow meal/break procedures; use POS and CRM systems; support inventory excellence (returns, transfers, SFS, BOPIS, donations, cycle counts, prep, TOs); maintain stockroom/BOH organization, safety, and maintenance; submit Retail Support Tickets promptly.
• Visual Merchandising: Partner with the Store Manager to execute Parachute’s visual merchandising strategy; maintain floor presentation and brand integrity; support store directives and day‑to‑day merchandising needs.
• People + Culture: Share observations with the Store Manager; hold yourself accountable to role responsibilities and policies; complete training on schedule; refer candidates and support the talent pipeline; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Availability to work at least one weekend day per week and during the holiday season.
• Retail sales, showroom, or customer‑service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale systems, inventory‑management software, scanners, barcode labels, and shipping programs preferred.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative, positive team player with a can‑do attitude and growth mindset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 10 lb regularly and up to 40 lb occasionally; stand, walk, reach, and grasp for long periods; bend, kneel, climb ladders or step stools; navigate stairs while moving boxes as needed.
• Strong verbal communication skills – face‑to‑face, phone, or electronic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for home interiors.
• Experience with web‑based POS and inventory systems.
• Technical aptitude with systems such as Shopify, NetSuite, Looker, Zipline, RetailNext, Deputy, or Asana.

Pay

This hourly non‑exempt role offers a pay range of $21.50–$23.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

Part‑time seasonal position ending no later than January 11 2025. Minimum one weekend day per week required, with additional hours during the holiday season; flexible scheduling available.
