About the role
As a member of the production team, the Seat Assembler will assemble and/or fit parts together to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line. This role may include operations requiring the use of simple hand tools and/or power or special assembly tools.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Repetitive gripping and use of hands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Use hand and power tools to assemble seat components according to specifications and instructions
- Identify and report any problems related to the product, process, and quality system
- Assure Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by adhering to Lear’s “5S” and “World Class Housekeeping” standards
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, performance goals, and objectives
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements of drug screen, physical, and background check
- One year of related experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
