About the Role

We're looking for someone who can handle a little bit of everything around a home — the kind of person who can walk into a house, look at the problem, and know what to do next. If you've got the experience, we'll give you the opportunity to use it. You bring the tools and the know-how; we'll keep the schedule full.

Responsibilities

• Carpentry
• Drywall
• Painting
• Doors and trim
• Flooring and tile
• Deck and fence repairs
• Light plumbing
• Light electrical
• Remodeling
• General home repairs

You don't need to be a master of every trade, but you do need to be able to troubleshoot and figure out the next step.

Requirements

• 10+ years hands-on experience working with your hands
• Your own basic tools
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation to work
• Good communication skills
• Must live in Northern Virginia

Qualifications

• Knows how to work without somebody looking over your shoulder
• Knows how to protect a customer's home
• Knows how to clean up when the job is finished
• Understands that doing the job right is more important than doing it twice
• Takes pride in their work
• Shows up when they're supposed to
• Can work on their own
• Can talk to homeowners without making things complicated
• Knows how to troubleshoot
• Has a good work ethic
• Doesn't need to be babysat

• Monday–Friday, day shift
• One Saturday per month

Pay

$25–$45+ per hour
