Seasonal Warehouse Associate, 1st Shift

About the Role

Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse under direct supervision. Responsibilities include a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods; check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
• Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries (e.g., on inventory levels or delivery schedules).
• Perform routine clerical activities such as answering telephones, updating stock cards and inventory records, and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Basic level of education including reading, writing, and basic numeracy.
• Ability to follow simple instructions.
• No formal occupational training required.
• For non-office roles, ability to operate simple equipment under guidance and instruction.

• Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with readily available solutions.
• Nonstandard problems will be referred to a supervisor or more experienced team member.
• Solutions are obvious or involve a finite number of clear-cut alternatives.
• Solutions can be reached and applied immediately.

• Interaction primarily limited to own team with minimal internal or external contact.
• Requires basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.

Impact

• Supports achievement of goals through personal effort in own work area.
• Impact limited to delivery of own work tasks, managed on a day-to-day or task-by-task basis.

• Accountable for delivery of own tasks to agreed time and quality standards.

• Performance measured frequently against predefined service level requirements or equivalent metrics.

Pay

$17.82 USD - $22.27 USD per hour.
