Seasonal Warehouse Associate, 1st Shift

About the role

We are seeking Warehouse Associates to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Flowery Branch, GA. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a Warehouse Associate, you will work side by side with employees and volunteers to take the love of Jesus to children worldwide, playing an integral part in processing over 12 million shoebox gifts and welcoming, equipping, and coaching thousands of volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the safe movement, loading, unloading, and organization of materials throughout the Processing Center.
• Perform constant lifting of 50+ pounds to support an efficient operation and the ministry of Operation Christmas Child.
• Load and unload shipping containers and facilitate the efficient movement of materials for processing purposes with a focus on volunteer, associate, and product safety (Forklift position).
• Process inventory in accordance with OCC Processing Center policies and procedures (Inventory Team).
• Assist with the quality control of shoebox processing by volunteers and test for validation purposes (Quality Control Team).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Him.
• Able to lift and/or move 50 lbs consistently over a 7-8 hour shift (Dock Team).
• Must be a team player.
• Inventory and pallet jack experience.
• Familiarity with trucking and/or container inventory requirements.
• Familiarity with barcode scanning.
• Forklift certification required for Forklift position.

Pay

$20 per hour

Schedule

• Employment timeframe: Mid-November to Mid-December (seasonal).
• Shifts: 1st Shift, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM.
