Seasonal Vertical Video Editor
Seasonal role up to 7 months, 40 hours per week, onsite at an NFL office or stadium location. Remote/hybrid options are not offered. No relocation assistance provided.
About the role
The Digital Video team distributes and programs content across the NFL’s digital ecosystem, reaching millions of fans daily. As a Seasonal Vertical Video Editor and Programmer, you will produce short-form vertical video content for NFL Media’s digital platforms, YouTube, and social channels. You’ll leverage game footage, NFL podcasts, studio shows, archives, and premier events like the Playoffs and Super Bowl to engage fans.
Responsibilities
- Upload videos daily to NFL YouTube channels and owned social platforms, ensuring content, titles, and descriptions meet NFL brand, legal, and editorial standards—with a focus on short-form vertical format.
- Select, edit, and reformat content from podcasts, studio shows, and social media to engage fans across NFL YouTube channels (e.g., NFL, NFL Flag, NFL Rush, NFL Pro).
- Monitor content performance with the analytics team, track algorithm trends, and share insights with colleagues and clubs.
- Attend production meetings and brainstorms, providing expertise on packaging content for YouTube and developing new concepts tailored for the platform.
- Collaborate with social, marketing, programming, and production teams to optimize content from NFL podcasts, studio shows, and long-form video for vertical distribution.
- Research NFL history for relevant projects.
- Repurpose segments from NFL’s library of shows and games into short-form vertical video content.
Requirements
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and during breaking news or special events.
- Strong knowledge of NFL football (teams, players, history, and major storylines).
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, with demonstrated expertise in all aspects of video production.
- 1–3 years of experience creating and programming vertical content for YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram.

- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field (preferred).

Pay
Salary range: $27–$29 USD per hour. The NFL expects to hire near the middle of the range, with exceptions for candidates whose experience or expertise far exceeds job requirements.
