Seasonal Venues Entertainment Facility Worker

About the role

Performs semi-skilled manual work involving event preparation, change-over, and general maintenance of KIA Center. Performs tasks requiring knowledge of the regulations/specifications of the various sports, and involves the use of independent judgment and initiative, above-average physical effort, operation of power tools and equipment, and the ability to work without constant supervision once tasks are learned.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks involving event preparation, change-over, and general maintenance of KIA Center.
• Uses independent judgment and initiative, above-average physical effort, operation of power tools and equipment.
• Works without constant supervision once tasks are learned.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including lead worker responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months Arena, Stadium, or Convention Center recommended; or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree;
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.

Skills

• Knowledge of the regulations/specifications of the various sports.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Independent judgment and initiative.
• Above-average physical effort.
• Operation of power tools and equipment.

Pay

This is a part-time position with no guarantee of a certain number of hours and no benefits. This position involves working on a temp/seasonal contract which can be renewed annually based on performance and business needs.

Schedule

Hours vary, although weekend, evening, and holiday hours are often required based on event schedules.
