Seasonal Tractor Operator

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Seasonal Tractor Operator at R.D. Offutt Farms is to drive a tractor to accomplish daily and weekly tasks for field production. The individual works well independently with little guidance and also collaborates in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment.
• Follow tasks and directions given by the crew leader.
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment, ensuring they are in appropriate condition.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook.
• Conduct oneself in the presence of customers and the community to present a professional image of R.D. Offutt Farms.
• Proactively seek and participate in company‑sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge and skill set.
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, committing to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy machinery, tractor, or other farm equipment (preferred).
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to work outdoors.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodation, including walking on uneven ground at farm locations.
• Availability to work overtime during harvest season or as needed.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
