Seasonal Tractor Operator

About the role

R.D. Offutt Farms Seasonal Tractor Operator drives a tractor to accomplish daily and weekly field-production tasks. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on equipment
• Follow tasks and directions given by crew leader
• Communicate effectively with management and other team members
• Assist in the maintenance of buildings and equipment to ensure they are in appropriate condition
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments; adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
• Conduct self professionally in the presence of customers and the community to present a positive image of R.D. Offutt Farms
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge and skills
• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy machinery, tractors, or other farm equipment preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to work outside
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodation, including walking on uneven ground at farm locations
• Ability to work overtime during harvest season or as needed
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Valid work authorization in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Pay

$18 - $21 / hour
