About the role

This is a seasonal Member Care Representative role at TRANZACT, ending around December 2026 or early 2027 based on performance. It's not a typical customer service role but rather one that supports members, especially those over 65, in navigating complex health insurance decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls lasting 15–30 minutes
  • Support members in understanding and confirming insurance application details
  • Communicate clearly, calmly, and compassionately, especially with older adults
  • Follow required scripts and compliance guidelines while sounding conversational
  • Protect sensitive Personal Health Information (PHI) at all times
  • Take ownership of each interaction to ensure members fully understand next steps

Requirements

  • Comfort supporting customers who may feel anxious or confused
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism throughout long or consecutive calls
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to structured tools and systems
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts
  • Shifts between 8:00 am – 11:00 pm ET
  • Your most likely shift will be 12p-8:30pm EST
  • Weekend availability required (at least one weekend day)
  • 100% remote with a private, quiet workspace
  • Hard-wired high-speed internet required

What You Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of customer service experience (phone-based preferred)
  • Clear and professional phone communication skills
  • Comfort using multiple computer systems
  • Ability to stay focused and engaged during high call volume
  • English and bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
