About the role
Serve as a client’s trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues and conflicts, and proactively communicating solution options to clients and the team. Manage staff on engagement deliverables such as financial statements, tax returns, and work papers, ensuring quality control standards are met through technical and strategic reviews. Oversee on-time and on-budget delivery while developing and managing engagement budgets.
Responsibilities
- Understand client organizations, procedures, and internal policies.
- Develop new client relationships in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
- Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects while meeting individual cross-serve goals.
- Consistently meet charge hour goals and manage billing and realization for assigned clients; explain variances.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff; foster a team environment and build a positive culture.
- Participate in practice development activities to generate new business and cross-serve opportunities.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Active CPA or equivalent certification.
- Proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of industry trends and alternatives.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
- Ability to travel based on client and business needs.
- Proficient use of applicable technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
