Seasonal/Special Events Childcare Associate, West Ashley Campus

Schedule

Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings, and as needed for special events.

About the role

This position reports to the Children’s Ministry Leader. Seacoast Church’s mission is to help others Find God, Grow your Faith, Discover your Purpose, and Make a Difference.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the safety and security of children in your care
• Supervise and oversee children while maintaining a clean and healthy environment
• Act as a positive role model; treat each child with dignity and respect
• Engage children through age-appropriate activities (Bible story time, crafts, worship songs, free play, games, etc.)
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Report any concerns regarding child or parent behaviors to the Childcare Coordinator
• Greet parents and build relationships with children
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables, and floors after use

Job Essentials

• Christ-follower aligned with Seacoast Church’s faith and beliefs
• Previous experience working with children preferred
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays with good attendance and punctuality
• Passion for caring for children who can relate well to both kids and adults
• Ability to lift, hold, and carry up to 30 lbs
• Capability to handle stressful situations appropriately
• Alignment with Seacoast cultural values: Love God, Love People, Make it Better, and Have a Good Attitude
