Seasonal Security Gate Attendant

About the role

Seasonal Security Gate Attendant position in Rapid City, SD. The role is active through the end of October and pays $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises, including access control and patrolling various locations to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Enforce regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property and perform access control duties.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for the assigned site.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift.
• Professional demeanor.
• Respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• Willingness to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
