About the role

This is a temporary seasonal position as a Seasonal RN Program - Anaheim - OSM Svc Admin Nursing Float - PT (24) - Temporary 8:00 PM - 8:30 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately, and demonstrates appropriate accountability.
• Ensures plan shows multidisciplinary planning, consultation, and education.
• Makes comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of data, assessments, and evaluations of patient outcomes.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities, i.e., planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improving.
• Adheres to LMP Workplace Safety principles and practices.
• Applies standard precautions; maintains a safe environment for self and others.
• Practices customer service standards as defined by the Service Area, Medical Center, and specified department.
• Identifies and assists in systems improvement that needs simplification or correction.
• Utilizes payroll and non-payroll resources to their maximum potential.

Requirements

• Minimum six (6) months of experience required in an acute or sub-acute facility within the last three (3) years.
• Completion of RN Program.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support.
• Basic Arrhythmia course required.

Qualifications

• May be Part-Time or Full-Time, Day or Night Shift.
• Start date will be September 14, 2026 - February 21, 2027, for orientation and training (may vary by medical center/clinic).
• End date will be 5 months from start date.
• RN-s will be UNAC/UHCP or SEIU Local 121 union dues paying members. The initiation fee will be waived.
• The position is non-benefited, temporary.
• Kaiser Permanente may be required to float to other related MST departments.
• May be cancelled, but no more than five (5) times during the temporary obligation.
• Is guaranteed one major holiday off during the assignment, but is obligated to work all others, if needed.
• Transfers to another position at Kaiser Permanente will not be permitted during the temporary commitment, however if participants are interested in regular employment, they are encouraged to express interest for regular positions 6-8 weeks prior to end of assignment.
• Will be required to work every other weekend and some holidays.
